Today was Maddux's karate tournament and he didn't disappoint. He has had three tournaments and has won the gold medal all three times. He is progressing very nicely and one of the better students at his level. This time he had to do 2 different Kata's with 3 different techniques. For the first one he did an upper block with a punch and front kick. Then he did the down block with a knife-hand strike followed by a side kick. He was the only one there who did three techniques and still scored the highest score in his group. I was very proud of him and he was very excited to get another gold.
